Indoctrinated With the Message of ‘Change’?

The world is used to the image of uneducated, disadvantaged and indoctrinated people engaged in terrorism. That imagery has been overthrown by recent occurrences. Increasingly, the class of people exhibiting extremist behavior has expanded to include well educated and influential people. There is the shameful episode of Mutallab, the Christmas Day pants bomber. Abdul Mutallab had a privileged upbringing but that did not protect him from becoming indoctrinated by extremists. And there is the more recent episode of the son of a former Chief Justice of Nigeria allegedly involved in terrorism.

Terrorism survives on ignorance and the extremist mindset of the participants which are often reinforced with propaganda. So, Nigerian youths and parents have to be wary of the gimmicks of the APC which is built on lies and propaganda. Many young APC supporters have been sold a Photoshop version of the presidential candidate of the party through a well-oiled media machine.

It was recently revealed that the APC had secured the service of an American consulting firm to wash and polish their Presidential candidate and help build a media wall around him, only allowing him open to the public through staged performances like the Chatham House event which he read from a written note, and which he had spent weeks practicing.
He has been hiding behind a media wall to avoid the challenge put out by President Jonathan calling him to participate in a public debate.

The APC are so confident about their propaganda machinery that they have publicly declared that their supporters have been completely taken in by it and have become so brainwashed that their reasoning has been numbed. Last week, the party tweeted from its official handles that even if valid video evidence is shown of their presidential candidate and party leader robbing a bank, their supporters will go ahead and vote for them. It is clear that the APC adapted the ways of religious extremism to politics as only indoctrinated supporters will go ahead to vote for a party regardless of credible evidence of criminal behavior.

It is easy to see that suicide bombers have exactly this mindset when they wear the bomb vests and go ahead to flick that button despite the presence of innocent human lives all around them.

It is important that young people and other segments of the electorates become aware of the APCs harmful propaganda and take steps to protect themselves from becoming indoctrinated.

NIGERIA LETS CHOOSE A FUTURE.- By John Okafor C

GEJ have signed trade agreements that are helping our companies sell more goods to millions of new customers, goods that are stamped with three proud words: “Made in Nigeria”. After 50 years of decline, GEJ created over half a million manufacturing jobs in the last four and a half years and he is now helping big factories and small businesses double their exports to create a million new manufacturing jobs in the next four years

Now we have a choice, between a strategy that reverses this progress, or one that builds on it. GEJ have opened millions of new opportunities in Agriculture in the last four years, and he will open more.

GEJ is offering a better path, a future where we keep investing in Agriculture and other mineral resources; where youth can own small-holder farms, grow and hire farmworkers, where construction workers build homes and factories that waste less energy; where we develop a hundred year supply of natural gas that’s right beneath our feet. If we choose this path, we can cut our oil imports in half by 2020 and support more than 600,000 new jobs in natural gas alone.

GEJ chose a future where more Nigerians have the chance to gain the skills they need to compete, no matter how much money they have. Education was the gateway to opportunity for GEJ. It can be the gateway for GMB. And now more than ever, it is the gateway to almajiris.

GEJ built Almajiri School because he believes no child should have their dreams deferred because parents cannot afford it. He built 12 Federal universities so that no family should have to set aside a college acceptance letter because they don’t have the money. He established SURE-P vocational training so that no company should have to look for workers in China because they couldn’t find any with the right skills here at home.

In a country like Nigeria with new threats and new challenges, we must choose leadership that has been tested and proven. Four years ago, GEJ promised to end the corruption in Fertilizer distribution. He did. He promised to revive the railway system. He has. He promised to improve women development and participation in governance. He has. He promised to organize a National Conference. He did. He promised to improve youth development. He has. He has blunted the Bokoharam’s momentum in North-East, and by the end of 2015, our longest war will be over.

We can meet that goal together. We can choose that future for Nigeria. We can choose GEJ

ARTICLE: WE ELECTED JONATHAN TO TELL US THE TRUTH.- By John Okafor C

In 2011, GEJ was the face of hope for Nigerians, four years later, that hope has been tested, by terrorism; by economic crises; and by political gridlock that’s left us wondering whether it’s still possible to tackle the challenges of our time. I know that campaigns can seem small, and even silly. Trivial things become big distractions. Serious issues become sound bites. And the truth gets buried under an avalanche of money and advertising.

But when all is said and done, when we pick up that ballot to vote, we will face the clearest choice of any time in a generation. Over the next four years, big decisions will be made in Nigeria on jobs and the economy; taxes and deficits; energy and education; war and peace, decisions that will have a huge impact on our lives and our children’s lives for decades to come.

On every issue, the choice we face won’t be just between two candidates or two parties. It will be a choice between two different paths for Nigeria, a choice between two fundamentally different visions for the future.

Now, our friends at the APC were more than happy to talk about everything they think is wrong with Nigeria, but they didn’t have much to say about how they’d make it right. They want our vote, but they don’t want us to know their plan. And that’s because all their candidate have to offer is the same prescription he have had for the last thirty years

After all that we’ve been through, I don’t believe that rolling back on the old ideas of GMB will help the small businesswoman expand, or the laid-off construction worker keep his home. We’ve been there, we’ve tried that, and we’re not going back. We’re moving forward

GEJ didn’t pretend the path he is offering is quick or easy. He never had. We didn’t elect him to tell us what we wanted to hear. We elected him to tell us the truth. And the truth is that, it will take more than a few years for us to solve challenges that have built up over decades by the likes of GMB. It will require common effort, shared responsibility, and the kind of bold, persistent experimentation.

But know this, Nigeria: Our problems can be solved. Our challenges can be met. The path GEJ offers may be harder, but it leads to a better place. And I’m asking you to choose that future. I’m asking you to rally around a set of goals for our country— goals in manufacturing, energy, education, national security, and the deficit; a real, achievable plan that will lead to new jobs, more opportunities like YOUWIN, FAFIN, GWIN, GIS, BOI, SMEDAN etc, and rebuild this economy on a stronger foundation as we are already the African largest economy and 3rd fastest growing economy in the world. That’s what GEJ can do in the next four years, and that’s why he is running for a second term as president of Nigeria.

That’s the truth, that’s the future, that’s the truthful future that GEJ represents.

ARTICLE: You Will Never Walk Alone.- Marvin Omo-Osagie

Almost eight years ago, a rookie coach, GEJ was mastering the act of the game (democracy) as an assistant to our then head coach, Yar’adua. It was as early as then that he started showing glimpses as the SPECIAL ONE. The then head coach was delegating a lot of games to him because he was showing special tactical understanding of the game (national and human development). He is simply a genius of a coach (president).
During his time as the assistant coach we were battling relegation (massive corruption, kidnapping, electoral rigging, ethnic tension, insecurity, militancy, economic recession, unemployment, etc)

In his third year as the assistant coach, tragedy struck. We suffered the demise of our head coach Yar’adua. After so much deliberation and uproar from the board (Federal Executive Council), GEJ was promoted as the interim coach (Acting-President) until the end of the season. It was a daunting task for anybody to move us out of relegation in short time but he was unfazed by the opportunity. His appointment was met with a lot of objection and trepidation. Most were concerned about his lack of experience as a top flight coach (coming from the minority and not been in the old political circle) but he charmed them all with his tactics and results.

Before the end of the season, the fans moved in support of a campaign to give him the role of the head coach on a permanent base. It was an emotional movement because in the few games he was in charge, he recorded 60% winning rate which was a vast improvement on any previous coach.
We survived relegation at the end of the season and were well placed on the table. Then came the time to make the big decision.

Our former coach, Buhari, who took us to relegation in 1984 with his poor tactics, poor man-management, dispute with players and board members, strict training regime, playing people out of position, poor scouting report and poor transfer, joined the race to become the permanent coach. Buhari has the worst record of winning percentage rate of any coach in our club. After 12 months of not being able to improve the team and take us back to the Africa premier league, he was justifiably sacked.

Coach GEJ’s blueprint of his goals and objectives, where he wants to take the club and how he plans to do that was a masterpiece (Transformation Agenda). It is incisive and elaborate
After so little consideration, we went for GEJ. It was a collective choice from all involved. Suffice it to say that choosing GEJ over Buhari was no brainer, it was an easy choice to make. Our experience with Buhari was a failure, he took us to relegation and almost took us to double relegation. He was so consistent in failing and he never stood a chance.

Coach GEJ was handed four years contract with an option of extension to another four years. It represented absolutely the choice of the fans.

Ice Prince Launches Self-Owned Record Label – Super Cool Cats

Just like his mentor, M.I. Abaga who is signed to Chocolate City and also label owner for Loopy Musik, rap entertainer Panshak Zamani aka Ice Prince has unveiled his self-owned record label with an official announcement scheduled for a later date.

The label, Super Cool Cats has always been Ice’s dream and has now materialized into fruition. Speaking with MTV UK last year, the rapper said…
“There’s Super Cool Cats music, my new outfit, and I have a few artists that I want to introduce to the world. There’s a girl called Ruth and a guy called Stunt. They’re all super cool cats. And there are a lot of producers in that outfit as well.”
While Stunt just released his debut single ‘Ojukokoro’, Chocolate City CEO, Audu Maikori has expressed his excitement about the growth of his label acts. He further and quite clearly too that Ice Prince will not encounter any challenges associated with his Chocolate City dealings and that of managing his record label. Instead, he pledged to continue their show of support. Hear him.

“We are very happy with it, there’s no friction between both labels.” Audu told Hip TV. “Ice Prince also has Super Cool Cats, which is his new imprint and it’s coming out soon, one of the things Choc City set out to do is to be the mother body and create that platform for others to grow and we have encouraged that actively by supporting their projects.”

ARTICLE: UNSTOPPABLE FORCE VS IMMOVABLE OBJECT.- John Okafor C

I agree with APC that GMB is an unstoppable force but I urge them to admit that GEJ is an Immovable object. The 2015 presidential race is a clear case of an unstoppable force against an immovable object. Guess what? The unstoppable force will continue to hover around the immovable object till 2019.
In 2011, GMB has 12 million votes and GEJ has 22 million votes. On 28th of March, Millions of voters will automatically cast their vote for GMB, more millions of Nigerians will also cast their vote for GEJ.
However, Since the merger, APC have been on the wrong side of every issue of concern to ordinary Nigerians; Social Security, Boko Haram, youth and women development, equal rights, civil liberties, labor issues. No political party could remain so consistently wrong by accident.

The only rational conclusion is that, despite their cynical "family values" propaganda, the APC is a criminal conspiracy to betray the interests of the Nigerian people

in favor of plutocratic and corporate interests, and absolutist religious cum ethnic groups.

There is an understandable misconception here that needs to be addressed: That is the fact that some people claim that APC hate government. For the second time, I have to agree with APC, It is just not true. APC love government.

They love government that allows their private firms to control the resources of the nation. They love government that allows allocation of oil wells to their party stalwarts. They love government that sends youth to fight, and die and suffer illness and lose sight and limb. They love government in your bedroom and in your doctor’s office. They love government secrecy. They love government that they can buy. What they hate is not government but democracy.

GEJ is a democratic mathematician, he upholds the tenets of democracy and since we are in a democratic era, he is completely immovable, at least not by a dictator, who doesn’t believe in democracy and who truncated it 30 years ago.

The APC has bought a “new majority” to drive their so called unstoppable change but the 70 percent of “morally majority” Nigerians are behind GEJ and has made him an immovable object and able to resist any fraudulent change APC claims to offer.

This is a race between the APC “new majority” and GEJ “70% morally majority” and the morally majority wins it come 28th of March 2015.

ARTICLE: BEHOLD IS A MAN WHO IS SO CONSUMED BY PATIENCE THAT HE MARRIED PATIENCE; HE REFUSED TO BE INTOXICATED BY POWER.- Neat Sam

It is a commonplace for our people to interpret over-zealous tendency and ubiquity as competence. Our average politicians have over the years suffered from the ailment of “talk more, do less” epidemic but its rather disheartening that most people deck this politicians as the active and productive ones and these phony paradigm has victimized our canny president, whose laid-back approach is graced with the virtue of “talk less, do more”.

Suffice it to say that this is just one of the numerous virtues of GEJ that magnet me to the admiration of this noble gentleman. For me, his gravitational force lies in the front that he has refused to be intoxicated by power.

GEJ case defies the saying that “Absolute power corrupts absolutely”. The phrase has come short in his exception. The palpable vices about absolute power is that it seduces you to the shortcomings of impatience, unforgiving spirit, allergic to incisive advice, lack of discernment, lack of humility and unremorseful spirit, thereby leading you to the crime of “Act now, think later and damn the consequence” .

One great attribute GEJ has in abundance is patience. Behold is a man who is so consumed with patience that he ended up marrying Patience. This is a man who even when all evidence was in his favor to become the acting-president, he chose to be patience. He waited and waited and waited and never got tired of waiting, even when the batteries of patience of his subordinates were draining, his was ever fully charged.

On his assumption of the seat of the presidency, which is in all ramifications the absolute power of socio-economic and political aspect in Nigeria, he didn’t draw a list of his enemies, opposition members and ill-wishers to set them up and indict them whether legally or illegally even when he owns all the means to do so rather he chose to forgive his enemies and in his uncommon humble nature descended from his exalted presidential seat to reach out to those who were reluctant to come to him and incorporated them into his government.

This is a man who believes in the national course and for him, the nation’s peace, unity and progress precede over his personal fracas.

No Nigeria president ever has the listening ears of GEJ. This is a man who works on the advice of the technocrats and experienced minds in his cabinet. He never lords it over anyone and he is always willing to learn. You will simply fall in love with his attentive nature which many in his position has lacked because they were drunk in power but for him, he refused to be intoxicated by power. His attentive mind transcends beyond his cabinet to the masses. He is always willing to listen to us all which the CONFAB and his regular media chat are testimonies to.

GEJ has always been graced with a perspicacious mind. He has selected the best of the best in his cabinet and this has heralded that vast improvement in every sector of the economy and human development. His discernment has been top notch. One of the good things about GEJ is that he has stayed away from “Family and Friends” system of government. His appointment has always based on intelligence, competence, commitment, hard-work and qualification. His judgment has always been selflessly motivated.

Finally, GEJ is always the first to identify his mistake and accept them even before you ever point them out to him. He hates to make mistake and hates nothing more than repeating his mistake. Once he makes a mistake, he never repeats it, he is simply a perfectionist. He doesn’t get drunk in power and get careless and unremorseful. He has never been a careless, reckless, arrogant and rude person in his life and he has not changed his personality even as a president. GEJ has always had a gentle, calm, recollected, reserved, mild, humble and cherubic heart.

It is a once in a lifetime opportunity to have a president like him because despite all the cajole, caricature, mockery, conspiracy, betrayal, threat, propaganda, lies, cheat and daring, he has refused to be intoxicated by power.

''POLITICAL CANDIDATES ONLY NEED YOUR VOTE AND NOT THE BLOOD OF YOUR COUNTRYMEN'' THAUKWUBENDA ADVICES

What's happening in Nigeria this time? What's all this horror acts with the 2015 election? Is this the last election we'd be having in Nigeria?

ThaUkwuBenda wonders why some of us enjoy inflicting pain and sorrows to our countrymen. All this careless killings and injuries is not called for and also not worth it.

Everyone is free to vote who they feel or know is best fit to lead them, ThaUkwuBenda is sure you must have good reasons why you choose & want to vote your candidate.

Never get it twisted, Political Candidates needs your vote and not the blood of your CountryMen. Also don't just vote cause the people around you are doing same, be sure of who and what you want.

Leave the political candidates to do their works (campaigns, debates, interviews, adverts etc..) and you do yours by voting and not killing and inflicting pain and injury.

Please all aspiring Politicians, party/candidate followers, be wise, act and show better example.. We don't want all this deaths, bombings, accidents, beatings, property destruction and shoot out like we're faced with Armageddon.. We're better than this, we're the Giant Of Africa.

You want to lead?, lead positively, take Nigeria to a better place and not to destruction.
You want to follow?, follow wisely my countrymen.. If we kill ourselves finish cause of this particular election, then you and who would live the life that you've set for yourselves.

We can't do this to ourselves, this isn't worth the lives of your loves ones and your Countrymen. We are to save our people and not destroy.

This isn't the Royal Rumble... Those who send you out to do their dirty deeds would later go behind to pop champagne with the other person they made you feel was an enemy of progress..just while your 6fit under or with no body part to bury.

Nigerian Youth, with love ThaUkwuBenda says to you, resist evil and it will flee, pray for better directions and leaders to make the nation better for our children and countrymen.

Few wise words are enough, advice yourselves properly and appropriately. Thanks and may GOD see us through in Jesus Name..... Amen

‘I Am Not An Upcoming Artiste’ – Korede Bello

Mavin’s last born, Korede Bello has expressed his utter dissatisfaction with the labeling ‘upcoming artiste’. Bello who is not new to the industry had been doing the toil till it paid off last year when he got activated to the Supreme Mavin Dynasty by the leader of their pack, Don Jazzy. Since then, he has experienced a significant growth having featured on songs like Dorobucci and Adaobi as well as releasing his singles African Princess, Cold Outside and God-Win especially that stirred a frenzy on the airwaves.

Bello was recently with a rep of The Nation, and he had this to say.

“When somebody goes to school and is in primary one, will you call the person upcoming student? Or when you just get a job in the bank will you be called an upcoming banker? But for me I will say people are entitled to whatever title they choose to give artistes, but it depends on the artiste; ‘how you see yourself.’ I see myself as a musician, I see myself as a mega super star and that is all that matters. I will advise artistes not to go along with that upcoming title because you might just remain upcoming forever. So you had better see yourself as a musician and a servant to humanity. Is there upcoming pastor? If there is none, why upcoming artiste?”
